Global Game Jam, what a blast! This was the first time I participated and I wanted to work my ass off. Right now I’ve finally made up for all those lost sleeping hours, so I can make a post. Read more about it here!

Yes, we were Team Tosti IJzer. Now that was a handy piece of equipment!
UDATE: the following picture shows how our snowman on the left was overclassed by 2 giants next to it. Take into account ours was already man-height!

Hollandia has won the Best Student Game award at the Dutch Game Awards! According to the jury, Hollandia convinced with its original concept and professional execution. We are very honored and happy =)

Greed Corp is also coming to XBLA & PC, next to PSN, in early 2010!

I was a regular playtester for Greed Corp, so I can’t wait to play it against the rest of the world! Which includes even more world now with the extra releases.

We pitched Hollandia for the audience and members of the Gamefonds at the Holland Animation Film Festival as part of the Games & Animation seminar. Unfortunately we were so busy doing so, that we forgot to take any pictures! All I can offer, to not break with tradition too much, is this very very small picture where we can be found in the audience…

An interview with Martin de Ronde appeared today on Gamasutra, revealing a bit about the mysterious project in my portfolio:
Charles Cecil’s project is, believe it or not, an adventure game version of Minesweeper, with PC as the lead platform. Cecil wanted to try and transform one of the world’s “most abstract games” to his genre of choice, the graphic adventure, de Ronde explained, adding, “He’s come up with a back-story to why the mines are there and why you need to defuse the mines.”
