Nomos

Nomos was an Xbox360/PS3 action-adventure game I worked on, first during my internship, and later during part-time employment, at Coded Illusions. Right now it is being released as several separate games by Vertigo Games. The first one of those is Adam’s Venture! The two screenshots on the right show that game. Unfortunately, my contribution to this project is rather small, as it doesn’t use much of my design areas. (but see the remains of a bridge dangling under the plateau on that rightmost shot? At the very least I had something to do with that!)

Another project, retaining the Nomos name, is still in development at Vertigo Games.

My official title at Coded Illusions was “Technical Game Designer”. This involved a mix of game design and level design tasks. As game designer, I was mainly concerned with the characters and dialogs, designing the way conversations would work and the behaviour of NPC’s. As level designer, I scripted a number of levels in the Unreal Engine. This was the first time I worked in a large team and I learned a great deal!
